The COLOR Registry

As part of a continuing goal to improve the understanding of coronary artery disease and the effect of lipid core plaques (LCP), the COLOR Registry has been established and is currently enrolling patients.

The COLOR Registry (Chemometric Observation of LCP of Interest in Native Coronary Arteries Registry) is a prospective multi-center observational study of patients undergoing near-infrared spectroscopy via the TVC Imaging System.

A primary objective of the COLOR Registry is to help better understand the linkage between NIR signals indicating the presence of a lipid-rich plaque and subsequent coronary events. Initial findings indicate that the absence of LCP is associated with a good prognosis, while a yellow plaque is associated with subsequent events. Follow-up studies are ongoing to confirm these early findings.

The COLOR Registry is also expected to provide additional information about the relationship between LCP and the complications of stenting.
