Our team is focused on our mission: To improve patient care through development of our core optical technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Our current goal is to identify the lipid-core plaques of interest in the coronary arteries that are responsible for most heart attacks and cardiac deaths. We have developed a catheter-based near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy device that is commercially available in the United States.
